Songwriter 101

A site where music business professionals help new songwriters learn the business.

The Songwriter 101 home page, with a feature story, a Q&A column, video interviews, a faculty spotlight, and partner logos for BMI, Performing Songwriter, Guitar Center, and Gibson

Songwriter 101 was a project for BMI, the performing rights organization that collects royalties for songwriters and publishers. It was a place where music business professionals helped the next generation of songwriters learn the ins and outs of the business.

I was the primary developer of the site, which ran on pMachine. I also wrote a polling module for its back end, then released it for other pMachine sites as Poll Mod.
