the.railsi.st

A blog from my early days with Ruby on Rails.

The the.railsi.st post introducing Headliner, with a code sample for setting page titles in a Rails controller

the.railsi.st was my blog about building web apps with Ruby on Rails, back when Rails was still young. It collected the plugins I’d written, useful code samples, and links to the talks I gave at SD Ruby, San Diego’s Ruby group.

A few of those plugins outlived the blog. Headliner kept page titles tidy, Styler organized stylesheet includes, and Trucker helped move data from legacy apps into Rails. Trucker and Headliner are still on GitHub, with more than 140 stars between them.
